Maintenance and renewal
If I buy a license, will I be eligible for new versions?
New versions are currently released on a quarterly basis (we may increase frequency in the future).
You will get access to all new versions within the first 12 months after your purchase. After that, you will either need an active subscription or maintenance.
If you hold a subscription license (e.g. CLI or CAD Exchanger GUI with annual subscription) then once your term expires you will no longer be able to use the product and will have to buy a new subscription. Perpetual license of CAD Exchanger GUI will enable perpetual functioning but access to new releases will require maintenance renewal.
CAD Exchanger SDK licensees must keep active maintenance for the whole period of development and distribution.
How is renewal organized?
GUI licensees buying via the paygate operator will be billed automatically (unless opted out).
Development tools licenses will get timely notification and invoices from our sales team.
What are the benefits of renewing maintenance?
New product releases continually deliver new enhancements and bug fixes, new 3D formats and their versions. Maintenance fee is a fraction of the new license fee, so it is much more cost-effective to keep active maintenance.
For CAD Exchanger SDK licensees, maintenance is mandatory for the whole period of development and distribution.
