In previous updates we introduced two approaches to file sharing: public access and private access. This update delivers another essential opportunity – embedding 3D CAD models into any web-page. This feature will be especially beloved by freelancers and agencies, seeking to showcase their designs on their blogs, portfolios, or web-sites.

You can embed 3D CAD model yourself by copying a tiny code snippet into any web-page. By leveraging iframe technology we ensure the compatibility with virtually all modern web-browsers, so you don’t have to worry about it.

To get the embeddable code you can do 3 easy steps:

  1. Make the file public and hit “Get code”

Privacy is important. Only publicly accessible models can be embedded.

  2. Tweak options and copy

In the first version of the viewer you can manage the camera, view cube and autoplay

Camera. Choose the best look for your CAD design and switch between perspective and isometric representation

View cube. View cube gives the sense of model’s orientation in the space and allows to quickly navigate between views (top, bottom, front etc.)

Autoplay. Should the 3D view load instantly or after the user decides to play it? Enable or disable as you wish.

  3. Paste the code to your web-site

We plan to extend the functionality of the embedded viewer in the future, allowing to manage the ability to download, share or comment the design.
