CAD Exchanger showcased at Intel Software conference 2015
The Intel Software conference is dedicated to innovative software engineering tools, including parallel programming models, performance libraries, compilers, performance analysis, correctness verification and parallelism modeling tools. The conference is targeted to professional software developers, system architects, researchers, etc. Intel Software conference 2015 was held in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.
The CAD Exchanger team was invited to share experience and practical results of adoption of parallelism and Intel software in CAD/CAM/CAE software development. Roman Lygin, CAD Exchanger founder and CEO, invited as a guest speaker, delivered a talk on results achieved with the help of Intel® Parallel Studio XE.
Growing complexity of modern CAD 3D models data often requires high computing power to process and to convert data across CAD formats. Legacy software solutions often inherit architectures which do not allow to take advantage of parallelism and thus remain inefficient to meet todays’ challenges. Focus on performance optimization and parallelism were among key priorities for CAD Exchanger from the very beginning, so parallel computations are broadly used in CAD Exchanger.
