  • CATIA

    • added import of line properties for curves.
    • fixed BaseError_UnsupportedVersion exception not being thrown, fixed missing curve and point colors.
    • fixed the missing "CADEX_IS_HIDDEN_ELEMENT" property.
    • fixed a crash that occured during parsing of PMI standards.
  • DWG:

    • added import of Arc Dimension entities into ModelData_DrawingArcLengthDimension.
    • added import of text modifiers into ModelData_DrawingTextModifier.
    • fixed parsing of hatch spline path.
  • GLTF: fixed an issue where only files with a lowercase extension could be imported.

  • IFC: improved import of the geometry represented by IFCBOOLEANRESULT entities.

  • IGES: fixed an import issue with faces defined on a surface of revolution.

  • Inventor: fixed parsing of assemblies which reference files of foreign formats.

  •  JT: improved export of mesh colors.

  • SOLIDWORKS:

    • fixed a parsing fail caused by bad_any_cast.
    • fixed a crash occurring during import of an empty assembly, implemented a workaround for the parsing of corrupted SW2023 assemblies without meshes.
  • STEP:

    • fixed an issue with STEP files not being parsed due to line breaks in control structures.
    • fixed an issue with parts becoming empty on export due to the incorrect conversion of an offset surface.

CAD Exchanger SDK updates

Extended drawing API

Extended drawing API
Extended drawing API

This release enhances drawing functionality with new classes and methods. Now you can measure arc lengths and use new classes for extended set of drawing elements like datums, feature control frames, leaders, surface finishes, and tables.

The update also allows you to manage view breaks and text modifiers: fonts, colors, styles, spacing, alignment, modes, etc., helping you to fit drawings on the sheet and maintain original text formatting.

Improved handling of models with configurations in remeshing example

We have enhanced the remeshing example to address an issue where custom models could lose some details during processing. The updated version now properly handles models with configurations, ensuring all components are processed correctly.

Restored compatibility with IL2CPP builds

Earlier, there was a regression that caused NotSupportedException errors in IL2CPP builds. This fix ensures that you can continue to use any version to optimize your application performance and won't face this issue anymore.

Along with adding a new dimension type in API, we have implemented display of ModelData_DrawingArcLengthDimension entities. This enhancement provides you with finer control over drawing elements directly in the viewing environment.

There are also some minor changes in CAD Exchanger SDK. To get the full list of the 3.24.12 updates, read the CHANGES.txt file.

Manufacturing Toolkit updates

Here are the highlights of Manufacturing Toolkit 2025.4:

  • mesh generation class for B-Rep triangulation with adjustable granularity;
  • new threaded hole feature for CNC machining;
  • improved the sheet metal unfolding algorithm for B-spline surfaces and shell-based models.
