Each format can be licensed individually or in the cost-effective bundles. Add-ons are licensed additionally.
Pricing is tier-based and depends on the revenue generated by the customer’s software, hardware and services which benefit from using CAD Exchanger. In the case of an application plugin, entire application revenue is taken into account. Hardware manufacturers may contact us for individual quotes.
There are two licensing models - Application distribution and Server deployment - that differ in target usages and pricing structure. The former is suitable for commercial (desktop) applications distributed to end-users, where CAD Exchanger runs on each end-user’s seat. The latter - for SaaS and server-enabled apps. In-house usage, where no revenue generation is involved, can also be licensed under the latter model.
The Application distribution model is a conventional software licensing model, with higher entry fees and lower recurrent maintenance fees, and enables perpetual functioning at the end-users’ seats. The Server deployment model is a typical subscription model, with flat fees and annual renewals.
Both licensing models include recurrent payments as long as the application is being developed or distributed. Support may or may not be included depending on the tier and selected components. Check the detailed comparison table for details.
Licensing is per OS, per customer’s application. There are small extra fees for additional customer’s apps, OSes, programming languages, or older configurations. Please explore pricing
