Learn how to convert CATPart to CADMATIC with CAD Exchanger
CATPart is a native format developed by Dassault Systems for storing parts of the assemblies created in CATIA V5 software suite, which is extensively used in mechanical engineering including aerospace, automotive, shipbuilding and other domains.
CATPart stores geometry, structure and metadata of 3D models dedicated to single parts. Multiple CATPART files can be combined into a CATProduct assembly file.
Among CAD applications that support CATPart extension are Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, and 3ds Max.
CADMATIC is a leading developer of digital and intelligent 3D-based design, engineering and information management software solutions for the marine and plant industries. CADMATIC solutions (CADMATIC Marine and CADMATIC Plant) are used for all kinds of ship, offshore and process plant constructions, ranging from luxury yachts to the biggest cruise vessels and offshore platforms in the world, and from food and pharmaceutical projects to the biggest power, chemical, oil & gas and pulp & paper projects.
Need to work with CAD files in numerous formats? No worries.
From CATPart to CADMATIC, CAD Exchanger gets you covered.
A CAD file is an output of a CAD software, containing key information about the designed object: its geometry and topology representation, 3D model hierarchy, metadata, and visual attributes depending on the format of the file.
