DXF

AutoCAD DXF (Drawing Interchange Format, or Drawing Exchange formal) is a CAD file format created by Autodesk for AutoCAD more compatible with other programs.

DXF was initially intended to represent exact copy of the data in the AutoCAD native format DWG (Drawing).

It can’t hurt if we mention that DXF coordinates come always without dimensions so the user needs to know the drawing unit or has to extract it from the textual comments in the sheets.

cadwork is a CAD software, developed by the CSEM. It allows users to draw, to design, or to manufacture. Originally, cadwork was created for the watch industry, but now it is mostly used by the architecture, engineering and construction market, that is civil engineering, carpentry, topographic, road building, architecture, armed concrete, glue laminated timber, stairs.

cadwork offers special modules to provide solutions for different tasks. The modules are fully-fledged components, related to each area of activity and they can be arranged to represent an entity. Thus, they can be exchanged against other modules, or complete an already existing CAD / CAM solution. There are individual seat licenses which are per user, per seat (and are linked to a fixed MAC address), and team licenses which enable group access, either on a server or within a network domain.

Any license includes access to all formats and all features.

Subscription includes access to all releases within the subscription period. To get access to new versions under the perpetual license, annual maintenance must be purchased additionally.
