Can I have a discount?

We value all our users equally and do not provide any personal discounts. You can be assured that nobody will have a better conditions than you.

How to buy?

Please navigate to our customer corner. There you can purchase node-locked or site-wide license via Plastic Card or PayPal. Wire-transfer is also possible for orders over $500.00 USD. How to activate?

There are 2 possible ways to activate CAD Exchanger: automated and manual.

Online activation requires internet connection and Serial Number, which is delivered with the purchase confirmation email. To activate the product please do the following:

  1. Go to ‘Information’ panel and click ‘Activate License’
  2. Copy-paste the received serial number to the ‘Serial number’ text field.

Manual activation is suitable for computers with lack of internet access. To activate CAD Exchanger manually please do the following::

  1. Send us the physical address of the target computer. To do that please navigate to ‘Information’ panel and click Activate License
  2. Click ‘Physical address’ and select the license type (node-locked or site-wide)
  3. Click ‘Copy’ and send us the physical address at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  4. Shortly after receipt of your email we will generate the license and provide it to you. Save the .lic file on your local hard dive and click ‘Browse’. Standard file dialogue should open where you can select the .lic file.

Do I have to subscribe annually?

Commercial licenses of CAD Exchanger are perpetual, which means that annual subscription is optional. Active subscription grants the access to all updates and releases. After the subscription expiration you will stay at the latest available version. Further updates will require re-purchasing the license. Therefore, keeping on-going subscription is the most cost-effective way to benefit from CAD Exchanger.

What is node-locked license?

Node-locked license is designed for individual users and tied to a single seat via physical address.

What is site-wide license?

Site-wide license allows to install and simultaneously run CAD Exchanger on unlimited number of machines within single domain.

How much does CAD Exchanger cost?

What CAD formats are supported?

Is internet access required?

CAD Exchanger GUI does not require the internet access to operate. Internet connection is only required to activate the product via automated mechanism (offline activation is also possible).

Can I run CAD Exchanger in a virtual environment?

CAD Exchanger normally won’t run on virtual machine. The matter of the fact is that CAD Exchanger requires OpenGL 2.1 or later (please see system requirements) and virtual machines do not enable that. Thus, please use direct (not virtual) environment.

That 3D CAD file won’t open in CAD Exchanger. What do I do?

There is no single standard for 3D data. Every CAD systems use its own algorithms to compose 3D files. Therefore, sometimes errors may occur. In most cases we are able to assist, or find the root case of the problem.
